What are we?

We are a new creative writing initiative based in Prestwich. We offer creative writing sessions for 12-18 year olds driven by creativity and imagination.

We want to inspire and help future writers to have a chance to create something unique without the stress of it being for an assessment or exam. This is all about fun!

All sessions are run by published writers and professional educators (enhanced DBS).

When is it?

12th - 13th April 2023. It’s in that special bit of the Easter holidays when everyone is bored.

Where is it?

All sessions will be held in Prestwich Library.

1.00pm - 3.00pm.

We will have 12-18 year old groups as afternoon sessions on the 12th and 13th April (if you are 12 you are welcome to come to both younger and older sessions!)

Sessions are £5 each and we have a number of free places for families on low/no income.

Pigeons & Doves is inspired by 826 Valencia whose aims are:

• To transform young people’s relationships to writing, building their confidence and pride.

• To Provide individualised attention and support, so young people can make great leaps in learning.

• Partner with schools and communities, providing our services to those who would not otherwise have access.

• Cultivate wonder, inspiring imagination and creativity in all of our spaces and programs.
