Hi, my name is Lisa. I have been a teacher for more than 25 years working with the kids taken out of mainstream schools. Writing has been one of my greatest inspirations throughout my career and one of the most powerful tools for helping the kids I work with tell their own story empowering them to explore their challenges in a constructive way.
I’m also a published writer - Nick Kershaw even selected one of my stories for a book.

What is a Pigeon?
A pigeon is a bird. They are found on every continent (except Antarctica because the penguins won the coin toss). They are of the family Columbidae. They are amazing dancers and remember people who are nice to them.

A dove is a bird. They are found on every continent (except Antarctica because the penguins won the coin toss). They are of the family Columbidae. They are amazing dancers and remember people who are nice to them.
Wait…what?
Yep. The only difference is the name and the story that we have given them. Pigeons saved lives in WWI and WWII. A pigeon found land and flew back to tell Noah. Pigeons can find their way home without a map.
